It has been really exciting to read the press featuring the University of Reading’s research about Matrixyl peptide and celebrating its proven potent effect on collagen production. I have been a believer in this ingredient for a long time and use it in optimum doses in some of my products launched over 4 years ago. In some cases Matrixyl has been found to nearly double the amount of collagen skin produces, a process which naturally decreases as we age. This research proves Matrixyl’s positive skincare benefits, scientists are also looking into the use of this ingredient for more medical based healing and rejuvenating treatments- showing its potency and strength. Net-a-Porter has announced the long anticipated launch of Net-a-Porter beauty. On the 20^th March 2013, Sarah Chapman Skinesis was unveiled as one of the 11 brands featured to launch in the UK, USA and Europe.  We are very excited to share our tips, online demos and new products globally with the Net-a-Porter customer.

Space NK are planning a nationwide spring promotion in all windows in all stores towards the end of April, I am really excited to announce that Skinesis will be part of this as one of the main brands featured, look out for us in store and online from April  23^rd. If you have been lucky enough to secure a place at one of Space NK’s spring events for Brides-to-be from April 9^th-18^th then you will find my award-winning Age-Repair Serum in your goody bag.

Out and about I have been in Italy; we are launching in some new spas and stores so I will update you with more news on this soon. Capri Palace is set to re-open in April following the winter break, I am looking forward to my facials second season in this beautiful destination resort.

I have had an exciting month travelling to the Far East for work and play, visiting Cosmoprof in Hong Kong to look at all the latest and greatest innovations in the industry and spending a little time in Thailand for rest and relaxation. I always find it fascinating to see how the industry is evolving, looking at new trends, seeking out new technologies and searching for new packaging for some of my new innovative formulas for next year. This was my first ever visit to Hong Kong and I loved it. There is so much energy, the city is buzzing and there are so many great places to visit in the daytime with a lively nightlife of cool bars and fantastic restaurants in the evening, so after a 24/7 few days I managed to sneak away to Thailand.  Bangkok is the most amazing place, the culture, food, markets and vibrancy was too much to see in one day so we were on our feet from 7 am till midnight cramming it all in but could have done it all over again. Shopping, eating and sightseeing from the Oriental hotel on the river for lunch to the night markets and neon lights at night but there was time for a thai massage in the hotel and they are GOOD!  Next up was a plane, car and boat to a remote spot for some rest, nestled amongst trees far away from the world looking out over the most amazing sunsets.  Lost my bikini to a rather eager monkey who was intrigued by the little flowers and sequins, luckily I wasn’t wearing it! I would jump at the chance to go out to the Far East again- maybe next year, let’s see what life has in store!

I have been busy in the clinic seeing all my regular clients and also the lovely Naomi Watts who was in London filming the new Diana film; I can’t wait to see her bring Diana to the big screen next year.  Lovely Katherine Kelly has been busy since leaving Coronation Street and I can’t wait to see her in Mr Selfridge on ITV soon.  Journalists and VIP’s  have been checking in for our new Stem Cell Collagen Activator Facial, it’s a great treatment pre and post Christmas parties and to revive tired skin in the New Year!

I am very excited about my new cosmetics bags as they look so lovely. The press are getting ready for the new year so I have already been asked to contribute with my top tips for repairing post party and New Year skin.

This week I’ve been lucky enough to spend my days in the heart of Bond Street in one of the most luxurious and beautiful apartments.

Chanel’s apartment is modelled on Coco’s Paris original and is absolutely exquisite, so calm and elegant- the perfect place for a press day for their skincare range. I have been launching the new Sublimage cleanser and Jersey fragrance.

During the week I have treated many beauty journalists and editors for facials with their products including the new cleanser.  It’s always great to catch up with everyone and always a pleasure to be with the Chanel team.
