There has been plenty of activity at Skinesis HQ over the last month with lots of exciting news to share with you from trips abroad, product launches, media projects and brand promotions.

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to be invited on a press trip to Paris with the Chanel beauty team! I had an incredible time in Paris where I caught up with industry insiders and visited the shops and locations that make the city one of the most stunning fashion capitals of the world.

I have been filming for a new TV show launching later on this summer, I am afraid it is top secret at the moment but I will share more details with you as soon as I can so keep an eye out in future blogs and newsletters.

Last month I enjoyed two fabulous hours of Sarah Chapman High Performance Skincare which marked the launch of my Overnight Hand and Nail Treatment on QVC. I am so pleased that so many of you were as excited as I am about my latest creation; the perfect healing tincture for hands after the harsh and prolonged winter. Overnight Hand and Nail Treatment was such a fascinating product to formulate as it is a change in focus from the face to the body which encouraged me to closely analyse the different signs of ageing and damage we see on the hands. I hope you all enjoy using this luxurious hand and nail potion as much as I do!

Overseas my Skinesis brand and Capri Palace had four pages of coverage in Harper’s Bazaar Russia. It is so exciting to see Skinesis internationally recognised as we continue to grow and launch in new locations across Italy.

Back in the UK two of our retailers have also been busy promoting Skinesis. Space NK are currently focusing on how to achieve “The Ultimate Facial At Home” and I am thrilled to see the brand taking centre stage with some amazing window and counter displays across the UK. Over the bank holiday weekend I took a trip to Bath, met the Space NK team and had a picture taken next to this beautiful window! Harrods also celebrated the launch of my two latest products Overnight Hand and Nail Treatment and Neck and Chest Rejuvenating Complex by showcasing the top Skinesis products in the Beauty Apothecary with a beautiful promotional counter.

I had a brush with sporting history over lunch with Olympian Rebecca Adlington. It was incredible to meet such an inspirational figure for British swimming and share some of my products with her. It was also a great opportunity to meet actor and beauty junkie Mathew Bose and to see my TV presenter friend Tonia Buxton who recently gave me the most beautiful rose essential oil from her uncle’s remote farm in Cyprus. It’s the perfect gift for a flower fan and I am already addicted to my tiny vial of this precious oil!

I have been preparing for the change in seasons with a detox from The Detox Kitchen. I am constantly on the go: in and out of facials, meetings and trips. I love Jemma Kidd’s new book “Make-up Secrets”, it is a must own book for any cosmetic junkie and also has useful sections on face shape and how diet can affect the skin. Jemma kindly asked me to contribute to the skincare section so there are lots of tips on how to get glowing skin and create the perfect canvas for your make-up. I am enjoying a really busy month so far with QVC, my Eye Recovery has been chosen for the Beauty Pick of the Month! It is the first eye cream to be selected from all of the skincare brands on QVC which is quite an achievement. We are also the first brand to be selected for a second Beauty Pick of the Month after so many of you fell in love with Overnight Facial last year.

Both myself and my therapist Lisa have been busy filming for the Beauty Channel, you can see top Eye Recovery tips every day at 8am and 8pm on Sky Channel 658,  Freeview Channel 48, Freesat Channel 816. The footage also features lots of  extra information on application, actives and the signs of ageing to watch out for in the eye area.

I have had an exciting month travelling to the Far East for work and play, visiting Cosmoprof in Hong Kong to look at all the latest and greatest innovations in the industry and spending a little time in Thailand for rest and relaxation. I always find it fascinating to see how the industry is evolving, looking at new trends, seeking out new technologies and searching for new packaging for some of my new innovative formulas for next year. This was my first ever visit to Hong Kong and I loved it. There is so much energy, the city is buzzing and there are so many great places to visit in the daytime with a lively nightlife of cool bars and fantastic restaurants in the evening, so after a 24/7 few days I managed to sneak away to Thailand.  Bangkok is the most amazing place, the culture, food, markets and vibrancy was too much to see in one day so we were on our feet from 7 am till midnight cramming it all in but could have done it all over again. Shopping, eating and sightseeing from the Oriental hotel on the river for lunch to the night markets and neon lights at night but there was time for a thai massage in the hotel and they are GOOD!  Next up was a plane, car and boat to a remote spot for some rest, nestled amongst trees far away from the world looking out over the most amazing sunsets.  Lost my bikini to a rather eager monkey who was intrigued by the little flowers and sequins, luckily I wasn’t wearing it! I would jump at the chance to go out to the Far East again- maybe next year, let’s see what life has in store!

I have been busy in the clinic seeing all my regular clients and also the lovely Naomi Watts who was in London filming the new Diana film; I can’t wait to see her bring Diana to the big screen next year.  Lovely Katherine Kelly has been busy since leaving Coronation Street and I can’t wait to see her in Mr Selfridge on ITV soon.  Journalists and VIP’s  have been checking in for our new Stem Cell Collagen Activator Facial, it’s a great treatment pre and post Christmas parties and to revive tired skin in the New Year!

I am very excited about my new cosmetics bags as they look so lovely. We have had a busy month for press as well with Instant Miracle Mask featuring in Woman and Home and the Facialift in Glamour, Marie Claire and Essentials! The press are getting ready for the new year so I have already been asked to contribute with my top tips for repairing post party and New Year skin.

I’ll leave you with a little skincare tip to help combat this sudden cold weather and save you from dry crepey winter skin: Add some hyaluronic acid into your regime to hold on to moisture and hydrate and plump winter skin, you can either take internal supplements (there’s some excellent options on www.victoriahealth.com) or apply topically by seeking out ultra-high doses in your serums and creams- try my Intense Hydrating Booster.

The last month has simply flown by, it seems that only a few weeks ago we were basking in the last of the summer sun and now there’s a definite nip in the air as we move towards winter. This highlights the need for small skincare routine changes to cope with the cold weather to come and I notice that my clients all need some good skin cleaning and extraction to clear out the pores post summer SPF usage.

It’s always busy here at Skinesis and there’s plenty more to come before the year is out, here’s a quick catch-up of what I’ve been up to this month.

I am so pleased to announce that my Instant Miracle Mask was awarded “Best Pre-Party Skin Treat” in Harper’s Bazaar Beauty Hot 100. It’s fantastic to win this accolade and see my products alongside the big giants of the beauty world in such a respected glossy magazine.

Instant Miracle Mask wasn’t the only award winner this month with Overnight Facial winning Psychologies runner-up for best serum in their Positive Beauty Awards. I’m so glad that everyone loves this product as much as I do and thank you so much to everyone who voted.

I was invited to be part of a photo shoot for Vogue USA with the gorgeous Jemma Kidd before the launch of her new book; Jemma kindly invited me to contribute to the skincare section so look out for it as it hits the shelves later on this year. This month also saw the launch of the new Anti-Ageing Beauty Bible. It’s a must read for any beauty junkie and is written by highly respected and lovely industry insiders Jo Fairley and Sarah Stacey.

I had a great day on QVC’s September Beauty Day, catching up with nail guru Leighton Denny and presenter Jill Franks as well as enjoying the buzz of beauty day. There’s plenty more QVC shows to come in October and November with lots of special kits especially for the Christmas season and our QVC fans. There may even be some new products to watch out for!

Wow what a few weeks!

I’m absolutely thrilled to see my two newest products, Instant Miracle Mask and Chin and Jaw Lift shortlisted in the Elle Beauty Awards for best Treatment Mask and Best Anti-Ageing product respectively. Everyone’s favourite Overnight Facial was nominated for best serum in the Psychologies positive beauty awards and Instant Miracle Mask for Best Special Treatment Product. Winning one of these awards for such new products would be amazing so thank you so much if you voted for us!

July saw the launch of Chanel’s pop-up boutique in Covent Garden, make-up artists Mary Greenwell and Kay Montano were on hand armed with Chanel’s latest and greatest cosmetics. I had a lovely evening with all of my Chanel and beauty industry friends, such a glamorous way to start the week! The boutique is open until December and well worth a visit, it’s designed like sweetshop for make-up junkies. Keep a look out for the Chanel cab’s that will be driving around town painted in colours inspired by the Chanel make-up range.

Age-Repair Serum is also celebrated as an Olympic gold medal product selected by Space NK, we’ll be giving away 2ml samples of Dynamic Defence with every Age-Repair Serum sold on our website.

August 16^th saw our anniversary on QVC! I can’t believe it’s been a year since the first Sarah Chapman High-Performance Skincare and thank you so much to all of you for all of your support through-out the year- there’s lots more to come from Skinesis so I hope you all carry on watching and talking to us about your favourite pieces.

We have also been developing some new treatments in the clinic with our Stem Cell Collagen Activator and a new machine so I will let you know more about that soon.

We’ve been so busy here at Skinesis HQ there hasn’t even been time to tell you what we’ve all been up too! So here’s a quick synopsis of the last few months:

I spent a lovely four days on the sunny island of Capri introducing my bespoke facial to the Capri Palace Hotel and Spa. The Spa is home to the infamous leg school and some serious wellness treatments so is the perfect destination for my anti-ageing skincare and facials. It was great to work with such a passionate and experienced team of therapists who are the first to offer my facials worldwide outside my own boutique London clinic. I enjoyed a lovely night in Positano on the Amalfi coast which is heavenly and well worth another visit.

We’ve had quite a few QVC shows with a huge amount of you being the first to purchase our exclusive new product- the Chin and Jaw Lift from my new Clinic Collection line. We launched in the world famous Harrods department store in late April and I’m so proud to see my skincare standing on the shelves of their newly launched Beauty Apothecary! A double post from me this month with so much going on!

In my last post I talked about the launch of our new mask but products aren’t the only new thing this month as you can now book yourself in for photo-rejuvenating or pigmentation reducing IPL treatments in my Skinesis Clinic. IPL is an excellent way to really refresh the skin and can make a real difference to people suffering with stubborn dark pigmentation. It’s really exciting to be able to offer this treatment, we’ll also be mixing it into our infamous bespoke facial to create a collagen boosting perfecting facial.

Our last few QVC shows are coming up this week. I will be on four shows on Tuesday the 28^th with a dedicated hour at 8pm. We were getting in the Christmas spirit last night as we headed out for our office party!

We went to our local ice skating rink at the Natural History Museum under the sparkling trees of Kensington and with initially some very wobbly skaters turned into quite the professionals within the session.  It was absolutely brilliant with only one fall amongst our group (and it wasn’t me!). The Christmassy backdrop with all the trees individually lit up along the branches against the stunning architecture of the museum creates a beautiful winter setting and it was all perfectly completed with a glass of mulled wine all round and dinner at Carluccios.  Great to have one of those rare occasions of the whole team in one place together.

I also got a lovely early Christmas present in the post last week from Chanel, a signature snow globe with lots of shopping bags under a tree- exactly what most girls would want for Christmas!

It looks like 2012 is going to be exceptionally busy for us all here with new treatments, new products and a whole host of events lined up already so I’m really looking forward to escaping to Scotland for a few days to relax over Christmas and maybe even enjoy some snow!

Phew! Crazy season is upon us, but don’t you just love it?

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind here at Sarah Chapman Skinesis. Recently caught up for facial with the lovely Jemma Kidd who looked fabulous and Jill Franks from QVC, on top of all my regular clients who are squeezing in for facials before the Christmas holidays.

I still managed time to go to Josh Wood Colour to sort my hair out and went to my first Pilates session at Vita Pilates and now need to fit this in twice a week! I signed up for a chocolate yoga workshop this Sunday at Triyoga, with my yoga guru Lisa Larn- so I’ll have to let you know how it goes and what we do!

Looking forward to two events next week at Space NK and BECCA Cosmetics as we enter into party season.
